General Terms and Conditions of Sale
These general terms and conditions of sale set out the conditions of a distance contract between the company INSPIRATION PARAPENTE and the client wishing to take part in a hike-and-fly paragliding experience or to offer a gift voucher.
By entering into this contract, the client agrees to accept and comply with the following conditions.
Article 1 : Flight conditions, duration, weather, cancellations, rescheduling
Paragliding is an activity entirely dependent on weather conditions. Despite thorough knowledge and analysis of these conditions and their forecasts, nothing can guarantee in advance that the service will take place on the scheduled day. In the case of unfavorable weather forecasts for paragliding (the most restrictive activity), INSPIRATION PARAPENTE will send a phone message the evening before (around 8 p.m.) to cancel and suggest a new date. In very rare cases, forecasts may change at the last minute and prevent flying. In such cases, INSPIRATION PARAPENTE will notify the client by phone no later than 2 hours before the scheduled time for the hike-and-fly, so that the client does not begin traveling to the meeting point.
Weather conditions, particularly thermal updrafts (which allow flights to last longer), are entirely beyond the instructor’s control (a professional holding a State Diploma). Once take-off and landing have occurred, the flight is considered completed, regardless of its duration. Article 3 details the pricing of the different packages, including cases where the flight duration is shorter than expected.
Even with favorable forecasts, conditions may turn out to be unsuitable. Therefore, the instructor/guide may decide at any time, including at take-off, to cancel or shorten the flight if safety can no longer be ensured due to deteriorating conditions.
Only the instructor/guide is authorized to judge the feasibility and safety of a flight or hike, based on the prevailing weather conditions.
If the client cancels before the evening prior to the hike-and-fly, the flight may be rescheduled.
If the client cancels after the evening prior, INSPIRATION PARAPENTE may already have incurred costs to reach the meeting point and may require compensation of up to €50 (except in cases of force majeure: accident, illness, serious unforeseen event).
If the hike is carried out to the take-off site but the flight is canceled for safety reasons (mainly weather), INSPIRATION PARAPENTE will not charge the client (the hike portion is free).
Article 2 : Physical conditions and accompanying persons
Tandem flights are subject to strict regulations regarding total flying weight. Considering the instructor’s weight, equipment, and wing, INSPIRATION PARAPENTE regrets that it must refuse a hike-and-fly to anyone weighing more than 105 kg.
Below this weight, participants must be able to walk varying distances (depending on the site) under more or less difficult conditions (the elevation gain differs from one site to another). The passenger must also be able to run a few meters during take-off and landing phases.
If you suffer from a serious illness or are undergoing physical rehabilitation, please consult your doctor and obtain written confirmation of your fitness.
Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused the flight.
For safety reasons concerning their baby, pregnant women over 3 months will not be allowed to fly.
The client confirms having read and accepted these conditions, and the flight will be due even if canceled because of non-compliance with one of the above conditions.
If one or more persons wish to accompany the client on all or part of the hike (for example, to watch the take-off), they may do so but entirely at their own risk. INSPIRATION PARAPENTE’s professional liability insurance does not cover these persons. INSPIRATION PARAPENTE cannot be held responsible for any accident, incident, damage, or injury suffered by these persons while accompanying the client.
Article 3 : Pricing
Prices applied are those in effect at the time of order. Prices are indicated in euros (€), inclusive of VAT, and do not include accommodation, meals, or transport costs incurred by the client.
Even in the event of cancellation on the same day (weather or force majeure), the client cannot claim reimbursement of accommodation, meals, or transport costs.
Prices are calculated based on average flight time and site. The service sold concerns only the paragliding flight and not the hike to the take-off site. The hike is entirely the passenger’s responsibility. INSPIRATION PARAPENTE’s professional insurance covers only the paragliding flight (take-off and landing included), not the hike. The instructor/guide nevertheless holds a federal certificate as a Hiking Guide, ensuring acceptable safety and high-quality guidance, though not allowing remuneration for the hike.
Please do not rely on flight duration to calculate the time required for the activity. Allow approximately 4 hours on site (except for the “Saut de Puce” package, usually less than 2 hours, and the “Ventoux” package, which lasts the whole day) to account for hiking time and optimal flight conditions. Sometimes waiting several minutes before take-off is necessary.
No refund or discount may be claimed. Likewise, if the flight is shortened at the passenger’s request, no refund or discount may be claimed even if the actual flight duration is shorter than planned.
The package is chosen at the time of booking or gift voucher purchase.
Prices per package :

“Saut de Puce”: low-elevation site (140m). Flight duration approx. 5–10 minutes = €90

“Découverte”: site with elevation up to 700m. Flight duration approx. 10–15 minutes = €150 (charged €120 if shorter due to lack of thermals or safety reasons). May be upgraded to “Vol Long” or “Prestige” if longer, subject to instructor’s schedule

“Vol Long”: site with elevation up to 700m. Flight duration approx. 30 minutes = €170 (downgraded to “Découverte” if shorter due to conditions). May be upgraded to “Prestige” if longer, subject to instructor’s schedule

“Prestige”: site with elevation up to 700m. Flight duration approx. 1 hour = €185 (downgraded to “Vol Long” or “Découverte” if shorter due to conditions)

“Ventoux”: site with elevation 1400m (or 900m if shuttle available). Flight duration approx. 20 minutes = €235

Video/Photo : €15 (copy to your smartphone/tablet or if you bring your own micro SD card, class 10, min. 8 GB, empty) or €25 (memory card provided).
It is not guaranteed that a person who booked one package can upgrade to a longer one. This depends on the instructor’s schedule.
Similarly, a person who booked a package agrees to pay it in full even if they choose to shorten the flight, as their choice impacts the instructor’s schedule.
Article 4 : Payment for direct sales
The client must pay the amount of the service by check, cash, or instant bank transfer once the flight has taken place, or even if it does not occur due to non-compliance with the rules stated in Articles 2 and 7.
Article 5 : Payment for gift voucher sales
The client must pay the amount of the service by check, cash, or bank transfer (instant if possible) at the time of purchasing the gift voucher.
The recipient of the gift has between 6 and 12 months (depending on the voucher) to book the hike-and-fly flight.
Gift vouchers are nominative and non-refundable, except in the case of serious illness of the recipient, upon presentation of medical documents.
In the event of a bodily accident occurring within 12 months to the recipient, the validity period of the voucher may exceptionally be extended.
The hike-and-fly must be carried out before the expiry date of the gift voucher. In certain exceptional cases, several appointments may be confirmed and then canceled by us due to weather. If the number of weather-related cancellations exceeds 3 in a year, the validity period of the voucher may be extended.
Any gift voucher older than 18 months and not extended is definitively expired for any reason whatsoever. Requests for extension must be made before the expiration date.
Article 6 : Booking
Booking is made by telephone at +33 (0)7 43 34 33 47.
We will discuss your wishes, the different possible options depending on the sites, and agree together on a date, time, and meeting place. Your booking will then be confirmed once you receive a text message or email confirmation from us.
Article 7 : Clothing requirements
We recommend sports clothing (warm enough depending on the season, as it may be cooler in the air) and sturdy shoes with good grip that support and protect the feet (preferably high-top shoes). Flip-flops and smooth-soled sneakers are prohibited as they are too slippery and therefore dangerous.
INSPIRATION PARAPENTE will not be held responsible for damage to the client’s personal belongings and reserves the right to refuse a flight to anyone not properly dressed and/or equipped. If the instructor/guide considers that the client’s clothing does not allow hiking and flying safely, a fixed compensation fee of €50 for non-compliance with instructions will be due.
Article 8 : Video/Photo
In the event of equipment malfunction, only the amount corresponding to the video/photo will be refunded or not charged.
Article 9 : Withdrawal, guarantees, modifications, and cancellation of a gift voucher
In accordance with Article L 221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the client has a period of 15 days to exercise their right of withdrawal from the contract. Once the service has been carried out, the client tacitly loses their right of withdrawal since the activities provided for in the contract have been completed.
Article 10 : Disputes
In the absence of an amicable agreement between the parties concerning the handling of disputes or claims, mediation will be possible. Failing that, disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the Salon-de-Provence Court.
